My husband and I have been customers of CD Peacock over 7 years, they are our jeweler. Any time we have a special occasion in the family, a baptistm, an anniversary, or birthdays we give Joe a call tell him what we are looking for, provide him a budget, he always exceeds our expectations!!! Stay away, way better jewelry stores to service and shop at. They're rude and pompous!
I do not know much about this store, but I will comment on my experience with Joe. I walked in on a Saturday before thanksgiving desperately hoping to see the Rolex I have wanted for months. I live in Manhattan (family in Chicago) and every single Rolex dealer was sold out for months. I walked in prepared to be completely ignored, as I am in my 20s and I purposely dress very casual. Within a few seconds, Joe pauses his interaction with an elderly couple and asks me if I need any help. I mention the model I want and Joe says he has a few people waiting on the same watch, which was old news at this point. I began to lose hope but we keep discussing the watch and he mentions that he is getting a shipment next week of unknown models. I call the day of, only to find out the shipment did not come in, but at least now Joe knows how much I want the watch. The next day, I am getting lunch and I get a call from a Skokie #. It was Joe calling to tell me last night's shipment contained my watch and he was probably more excited over the phone than I was. I rushed to the store and couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it there waiting for me. I extremely appreciate Joe recognizing the degree to which I wanted that watch and trusting me when I told him I would buy the watch within 15 minutes of his phone call, despite my young age. Now I am sitting here writing this review with the biggest smile on my face as I watch my Rolex gleam at the corner of my eye. Thanks Joe!!
Looking for an engagement ring upgrade to give to my wife for our anniversary. I came across C.D. Peacock and was able to create a new ring with their custom jeweler, Olga. She took the time to find out what I was looking for and presented me with a graphic representation of what she was planning to do before she did any work so that there were no surprises. Looked just like the ring that was twice the price. I wish I shopped here when I first proposed. I would have saved $$$.
Extremely rude, the sales lady looked down on us as if we weren't worth her time. Insisted everything was out of our budget (our budget was more then plenty for what we were looking for). Not to mention she personally insulted me by telling me to be quiet when she asked us what we were looking for in a ring
