Amazing museum! I saw their special exhibit honoring Bill Graham and Rock and Roll so they had artifacts from famous rockers.

Had an amazing time at this museum. The information was put out really well, in that you read one the slabs, and then you go to the next one. The next one reiterates some of the old information, and gives you a lot of new information. I thought it was really cool, because you get to regurgitate the information, so that you are able to learn more.

Absolutely fabulous! You are informed in so many different ways possible. Very well done. The hologram was fantastic! Be prepared to spend 3-4 hours and reasonably priced.

I was also there for the grand opening of their Take A Stand Center and the holographic survivor story interactive experience. Five local survivors spoke at the event and I was greatly honored to be there for that.

Pictures are not allowed in the main exhibit and the rules vary for the special exhibits so pay attention to signs.

Important, impactful museum, that everyone should see. However, their customer service can be frustrating. I have taken many school groups here. One day, in preparation for the new school year, I stopped by about 30 minutes prior to closing, hoping to just visit their shop to pick up a few items for my classroom. Unfortunately, I was turned away and told to come back the next day, because they couldn't just let me in to the shop; I had to be processed through the whole museum and the person who was in charge of that had shut down early, even though they were still open.

I highly recommend you not miss the holographic presentation! USC Shoah spent a great deal of time compiling the footage of survivors and they've put together an amazing program that I hope long outlives the survivors so that their stories can reach generations to come.

You'll want to devote a minimum of two hours to really experience the main Holocaust exhibit.

As one of the reviews on here said, be prepared to spend at least a few hours because there is so much history. Whether you're a Jew or Gentile and you live in the state of Illinois, you must visit this museum. For anyone at any given time to say there was no Holocaust is a fool. Jewish or Christian you must come here to truly understand this story through the eyes of the Jewish people living it at the time. I don't think many other museums really capture this story the same way as this museum does. The exhibits are tremendous, rich with artifacts that all contribute to the telling of the suffering of an ancient people not too long ago if we think about it. This story must never be lost lest we make the same mistakes. It's amazing after so much suffering these people came from so much horror and contributed to our modern society in so many ways, in ways we take for granted. It's a must for anyone children and adult(by the way for much younger kids there are special exhibits for them if I'm right). God bless you guys.
