Incredibly helpful staff- fixed my girlfriend's Mac on two separate occasions within the same month and made us feel taken care of while doing it.
Wait times are unreal at this store every time I go. I don't understand how they can't make it better after years of being like this. It's Apple, for heaven's sake. If they can't do it right, who can? I am always so sorry I choose to be in the queue at this location. Nice staff, just a really inefficient system.
Long story short, I had a firmware crash on my new mac book air, was accused of stealing the machine, even though it showed on my Apple id. Was told if I can provide the proof of purchase, they can unlock in minutes. Provided the information needed, then was told 3-5 days. I am on day 9 with no phone call or no update on the repair. Grad student and I rely heavily on my system to work so that I can write my papers. I could understand if I am kept in the loop or even offered a loaner machine, but there has been no contact at all. Poor customer service, understaffed, or need more people to be versed in multiple products. Popular location but rude management. Worst experience ever, will drive to Schaumburg or try the downtown Michigan store next time. There is really 50/50 chance you will get what you need in the old orchard store.
I only wish there was no star available for review. Arrogants, condescending, and unpleasant all together. When I would pass an apple store I would almost always see a lot of people in there and I used to wonder if really that many people are buying the apple products. No! They are waiting for appointments for technical problems! One actually has to make an appointment! Ludicrous! Am I glad that I only have an old iPad and nothing else from them. I only use it as my alarm in the morning and to play Sudoku, so not that big of an issue. Their products are weaker as time goes by, and their customer service even more so. I went home and fixed my problem with the help of the internet. It never occurred to that arrogant lady that set me up for an appointment to even suggest to just connect to iTunes and install an update. Such incompetence. Really, my trip there - such a waste of time. I found out while I was in store that you can make an appointment online. Nonetheless, it was really sad seeing so many people waiting around to be helped...Wake up, people! Stop being sheep!
